With their infectious enthusiasm and energetic live stage presence, Whistle Dixie have developed a strong and loyal fanbase. Their music has a deep authenticity and pays homage to the great artists that paved the way for what has become the fastest growing genre in the world today. From Bob Wills to Buck Owens and June Carter to Dolly Parton, the band draw on this country spirit with their own unique flair.
Whistle Dixie are regulars on the festival circuit having played The Gympie Music Muster, Groundwater Country Music Festival, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Deni Ute Muster, Crank it Up and Smoke in Broke. Over the past decade Whistle Dixie have opened for some of the biggest names including The Whitlams, Diesel, Troy Cassar Daley, Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon), Russell Morris and the Black Sorrows.
Whistle Dixie are about to release their new single "Too Damn Cute For A Ticket" with promotional shows up and down the East Coast throughout the back end of 2025. Next year will see Whistle Dixie embark on their first international tour of the United States and an exciting national tour. With dust on the windscreen and the open road ahead Whistle Dixie will continue to do what they do best, play kick ass Honky Tonk in their own unique and incredible style.
